Hewlett-Packard and Dow Jones

As you may know, earlier today Dow Jones announced that HP, Alcoa and Bank of America will be dropped from the Dow Jones Industrial Average.  In their place, Goldman Sachs, Visa and Nike will be added. The changes will take affect after the close of trading on Friday, September 20.  Here is the link to the Dow Jones news release. Lets look at HP`s graphic.

Was it so suprising? Let`s face the facts,  HP was unstable since early 00, stock price has never reached it`s top, $78 per share.  What we see now is what should have happend long ago, because there is no happy endings at stock market. You show your character, or lack thereof, and it will be remembered.

Now lets compare stock graphics of HP and added Goldman Sachs, Visa and Nike.

HP vs Goldman Sachs

 HP vs Nike

HP vs Visa

HP vs it`s permanent rival IBM

Is there anything else needed to say? I guess not. If Meg Whitman wont bring changes, I guess this is beginning of the end.
